CalmTM. The Solar ClamTM is solar powered heating unit
that heats the air for your home, shop, hunting cabin, RV or any large room that needs suplimental heat. This unit
weights under 125 lbs. and produces about 25,000 btu's per on a sunny day.
It
is eco-friendly. The fan(s) runs off of a photovoltaic panel. The heat is generated by the sun heating up the panel. The Solar
ClamTM can heat up the air temperature over 70 degrees depending on the angle
of the sun, direction of the panel, and the intencity of the sun. The heat generated is air from a given area like a house
and can be returned to the area to be heated. Applications vary.

is critical to the function of the panel. The Solar ClamTM works best
in direct sunlight. The location needs to be on the southern side of the area to be heated. Obstacles such as trees and buildings
can reduce the effectiveness of the Solar ClamTM.The Solar ClamTM is designed for supplement heating.

A
polycarbonate sheet is the cover that is used to cover the Solar ClamTMbecause
it will transmit 86% of the sunlight in and is UV stabilized. It has excellent strength and has a good weatherability.
Polycarbonate is 250 times stronger than glass and is 30 times stronger then acrylic. This is the same polycarbonate used
for ice hockey visors, machine guards and security windows. The polycarbonate sheet is warranted for 6 years against
abrasion, yellowing and coating failure. ( The way to clean the polycarbonate sheet is to wash it with mild soap and water,
if anything at all.)
A High grade insulation is used for the walls of the Solar
ClamTM. It has a high insulation value of R10. It has a superior flame protection and
a high moisture barrier. This helps in reducing moisture lost in the winter heating season. The photvoltaic panel provides
the electricity for the fan(s). There is a anti-backdraft damper keeping the air from circulating backwards. This
will help keep the panel from cooling the air when is not producing heat.. The Solar ClamTM is
made of high grade materials and is designed to last for years. The Solar reflective mirrors reflect 94% of the sun light
into the panel increasing the temperature substantially.
The
best thing about the Solar Clam TM is that there is NO middle man to raise your cost of heating and eletricity once
you are Solar powered. You will lower your cost of heating and eletricity. To think that the only thing that
a person needs to do is watch the sun rise and set, feels pretty good to me. There is no fees for sun light. The
only cost is the solar powered heating unit. There are no natural resources being burn. There are no chemicals
emitted into the air. The only thing that is being used is the air from the room you are trying to heat.
